Last weekend, I was in Sacramento for the Wizard World Comic-Con. It’s my third time doing that event, and I had every bit as much fun as I have in the past. I just can’t get over how cute little kids are when they dress as their favorite characters. Halloween is one thing, but these conventions are entirely different. Cuteness overload. Check out this YouTube slideshow.
I’m not in it (you know how camera shy I am), but If you look carefully at the left side of the opening shot after you hit the Play button, you can see me!
Not only am I camera shy, but I don’t really take pictures, either. (Maybe that’s why I suck at social media.) But I sure had my picture taken a lot at the event. There was one little girl there who had her picture taken with me who came back the next day to see me again. She was practically awestruck, it was adorable. (I think it’s the white hair.)
I’m due to appear next in Modesto in early July. I say “due to” because sometimes things do come up, preventing me from going, such as what happened earlier this year for the San Jose event. I was bummed about that, but life happens. You can see the full list of my scheduled appearances by clicking on “Where is Dynamistress?” up above this post.
And yes, my “co-author” guy appears at these things with me. For some reason, he gets top billing. I think I’ll have a little chat with him about that. He says it’s because he has other books besides mine. Whatever.
If any of you reading this will be at any of the upcoming events, please stop by and mention that you saw this blog. Because I’m not convinced anyone actually reads them.
Until next time… stay safe out there.
