Biography

Originally hailing from Chicago, Abner graduated from the University of Chigago with an undergraduate degree in physics. He joined the local group, The Hawks, where he served as a lieutenant for the last three years on the team. He then moved to San Francisco at the urging of his wife, where he joined The Gatekeepers.

Personality

Ab is outgoing and generally friendly man, always willing to help other in any situation. His teammates find him to be reliable and trustworthy.

Excerpt from Redemption

The creature extended more tendrils, somewhat randomly, but none came near us. “They drain your strength,” Lumen warned.

Just then, there was a flash of light from above. I looked up and saw, to only a little surprise, Dinah’s other-self plummeting from the sky toward the hole. But she wasn’t falling. She was blasting full-tilt toward it, her arms outstretched in front of her, energy crackling around her fists. Instinctively, I put up a telekinetic shield to protect us. Lumen, Jack, and I watched as she blasted straight into the creature. The extended tendrils vanished into the hole with her, while small drops of goo splattered against my shield and fell harmlessly to the carapace.

Jack looked at me in shock. Then we both stared into the creature as flashes lit up the interior, one after the other. Lumen rushed forward and illuminated the interior again. The flashes continued for a few seconds, then stopped. Seconds later, we saw the woman moving toward the surface.

But she didn’t make it.
